1.Pallet labeler

 The enhanced Model 401X print-and-apply pallet labeler can be configured for optional RFID pallet tagging as well as standard corner, side and multi-panel labeling. Suitable for pallets, barrels and other large containers, the 401X offers a standard reach of up to 14-in. with the option of extending the reach to 36-in. Now equipped with an Allen-Bradley PLC and an Allen-Bradley PanelView 550 touchscreen user interface, the labeler offers extreme production flexibility and simple operation, the co. states. The labeler also features a plant-wide network to download labeling data, enable the labeler to communicate with other line equipment and automate changeovers. With full clock and calendar functions as well as serialization, the labeler can print fixed and variable data, including text and graphics and a wide array of bar codes using either a thermal-transfer or direct-thermal printer.

A variety of 1-pc oval PE tubes are made by the co. with custom flip-top and domed caps and applicators. Glossy, matte or soft-touch finishes are available, produced with color, transparent or pearlized luster. For lotions, lip glosses, foundations, creams, haircare products and many other applications, the seamless tubes are available in 16-, 25-, 35-, 40-, 45- and 50-mm sizes, the co. says.

3.Blister machines

The co. reports that its KDT and KBS-PL blister machines can now be tooled to manufacture packages using pre-cut paperboard blanks, offering a more sustainable alternative to plastic blisters. The blank is fed from a magazine and is formed into a pocket to hold the product in a fashion similar to a film blister. Thermoformed plastic blister materials can still be run as well for higher-strength, tamper-evident needs.

The LINX SL01 and SL301 offer respectively 10- and 30-w power options, to allow customers to choose the system that best suits their own production line requirements. The laser coders' ranges for lenses and beam delivery options mean they can be maneuvered into tight spaces, the co. says. The coders feature a hand-held control unit for easy operation, PC software that enables more complex code creation, including graphics and 2D codes, flexible standard components, side- and end-shooter options and a small footprint for easy of integration into existing operations, according to the co.

5.Aseptic filler

The Sensofill? FMa ultra-flexible aseptic filler is for manufacturers that produce a wide variety of beverages and bottles and require extreme flexibility. Product and format changeovers are performed from outside of the sterile zone with no loss of sterility. In addition, production can continue for 72 to 120 hr without resterilization because the environment remains under absolute control. The newly designed, hermetically sealed isolator and sterile air overpressure are reinforced by directed airflow in the filling zone. Using the rinser configuration, the internal and external bottle decontamination process uses a high-pressure jet of peracetic acid. Sterile water pulse-rinsing results in low chemical residue and less water consumption, the co. reports.
