1. Jan. 26th (Tuesday) is World Customs Day.
2. Till the end of 2009, the processing trade enterprises in China reaches 126,000 and stay the same scale of 2008.
3. In the second half year of 2009, over 80% export goods in classification clearance pilots could implement the low risk Customs clearance pattern, other goods were examined and verified severely. The overall Customs clearance speed decreased from 1.92h to 1.8h; moreover, the averaged inspection quantity increased 61% than the first half year before reform.
4. Last Thursday, the General Administration of Customs released announcement to implement electronic network management for deposit, set up additional bank for handling deposit procedures so as to facilitate the formality for processing trade enterprises and improve the quality and efficiency of deposit management.
5. Recently, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, General Administration of Customs and the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine jointly announced to make revision on some HS Codes and commodity names of the Administration Catalogue of Import Waste, which will take effect form Jan. 1st 2010.
6. The Ministry of Agriculture and General Administration of Customs jointly released the Administration Catalogue of Import Veterinary Drug which will take effect from Jan. 1st 2010.
7. Recently, The General Office of the State Council announced the State Council Amends Patent Law Enforcement Rules which will come into effect from Feb. 2010. |
